Working with realism, subjects looking as they do in real life, is a tradition for artists in many media. You will select one or more objects to recreate. Your sculpture’s dimensions should be at least 4×6 inches, you may play with scale but not the details!

Think about what the objects you choose communicate with the viewer. How does a hyper-realistic facsimile add meaning to the object? (What does that even mean?)

Create your own object or still life, all objects should be built hollow. Challenge yourself to improve your art making skills and build them hollow, meaning build them like a pot, DO NOT rely on hollowing out a solid form. I don’t want to see that method of building used to support your lack of skill or will.
